General Information

ALEI prefix 
The ALEI prefix element is the ISO 3166-2 code for country and subdivision if applicable followed by the stop character ‘.’ This is followed by an acronym representing the register maintained by the administrative agency for the governing body of a nation, state, or community that assigned the identifier element. The prefix is assigned by ECCMA
Short name 
Defines the name of a concept. Consits of “Country or Subdivision” + “Registry name”
Companies House
Full name (English) 
English name of a concept, which does not depend on a given context, e.g. a country-specific language.
Local name 
Defines the name of a concept in a local language.

Business registry code 
The Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) is an alpha-numeric code based on the ISO 17442. The code enables clear and unique identification of legal entities participating in financial transactions. The code is published by the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF)
Informal and comprehensive human-readable definition of a concept.
Companies house is an institution that runs the companies register in UK. Companies house offer several possibilities to search for Company Identifiers, Company names etc. There is a new webservice solution which enables direct integration.
Country scope 
Defines a country a given concept is used in (or valid in, or relevant for etc.), i.e. the country-specific scope of a concept.

URL that provides more information for a given concept.
Licence URL 
URL that provides information on the licence of the target
Reference vocabulary URL 
URL that provides information on the reference vocabulary of the target
Deep URL 
URL that provides a deep link for a specific information, e.g. the URL with reference data for a specific business partner.
Online Search 
URL that provides a link for a online search portal, where data for a specific business partner can be looked up, e.g. through a corporate number or entity name
Rest Webservice 
URL that provides a link to a technicial rest webservice, where information for a specific business partner can be looked up


Specifies concepts which are used in a business rule. In terms of data quality management, these concepts are monitored by the given business rule.
Name, Locality, Post code, Thoroughfare, Identifier
Defines the reference data purpose of a Reference data source in terms of the use of reference data from this source.

Implementation status 
States if a concept (e.g. a reference data source is implemented and used by CDL services for CDL operations. The following status levels are defined:
  • PLANNED: The concept is known but implementation has not yet started.
  • IN PROGRESS: Implementation is in progress.
  • ACTIVE: The concept is used for CDL operations, e.g. reference data from a particular reference data source is used for data validation.
  • DEACTIVATED: The concept is implmented but currently not actively used in CDL operations.
Activation date 
Date and time when a concept (e.g. a reference data source) is activated, i.e. when the implementation status changes to ACTIVE.
Integration type 
Documents how a data source is integrated into the CDL with respect to data gathering:
  • REMOTE ACCESS: Data is not stored on CDL side but queried ad-hoc from the data source (e.g. webservices)
  • COPY: Data is replicated on CDL side (usually already transformed into the target CDL data model)
  • UNDEFINED: not yet known
