Abbreviations are used to match a legal form in a Name, e.g. Europos kooperatinės bendrovės by EKB in Company EKB. To improve the hit ratio of this legal form matcher, the following mutations are created for each given abbreviation and added to the matcher's patterns:

  • Accents are stripped and not considered at all for legal form matching
  • If an abbreviation may be written with dots and/or spaces as separator, an abbreviation with dots is enough to maintain. From G.m.b.H., GmbH, G m b H, G. m. b. H., G.m.b.H, and G. m. b. H are generated and used for matching.
